Rising Adelaide based singer/composer/multi-instrumentalist Courteney Hooper interweaves vibrant whimsical escapism with gentle melancholic contemplation.
Born into a family of musicians in the Clare Valley Wine Region, Courteney has been immersed in a world of harmony since before she can remember.
After a rather pivotal existential crisis and a spur of the moment decision to attend an open mic alone at 11pm with an audience of 3 people, she has been performing professionally ever since, making appearances at The Gov, The Cranker, The Wheaty and many more local and surrounding venues.
Influenced by unique vocal-stylists such as Kate Bush, Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple, Courteney's lyrical compositions endeavour to invite the audience into a world of whimsy and eccentricity.
